Syttende Mai 2006
The Stoughton Norwegian Dancers kicked off the celebration on Wednesday with a performance at the State Capital in Madison. They were joined by the 2006 Syttende Mai King & Queen, Becky & Bob Greiber. On Saturday the Dancers rode in the Kiddies' Parade and followed up with a street performance in downtown Stoughton. Later in the afternoon they entertained festival-goers with two performances at the Community Building. That evening they brought eager fans onto the floor for Norwegian dancing in the Norske Stomp. Sunday brought more great weather and the Dancers rode their float in the main parade. They finished their 2005-2006 season with a spirited performance in front of a packed house at the Community Building. Eleven seniors said their farewells: Liz Elevekrog, Eric Klitzkie, Diana Olson, Tommy Haese, Danielle Cowan, Jake Brandt, Katie Multhauf, Claire Ganshert, Ben Wahlin, Greta Schmalle and Corey Markuso9n. Special thanks to all the parents for their hard work at the dancer downtown food trailer and at the Community Building. See you in 2006-2007! |

Great weather brought out enthusiastic crowds for all of the
festivities.
